Dina Manzo left “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” but she’s still got plenty to say about the show that launched her to fame.
“It’s a shame this TV show used to be about our lives and now some lives are just about a TV show,” she wrote in a blog post Monday morning.
Regarding her own departure, she wrote, “I really wanted to walk away from all of the toxic behavior.”
Speaking of toxic behavior, Manzo was also candid about her feelings regarding the on-air war between her friend Teresa Giudice and her sister Caroline Manzo.
“If this is all about a joke in a book � and [Teresa] assured me it was � that’s not enough for me to hate the mother of my goddaughter and a friend of 15 years,” she wrote. “Was it necessary to write that stuff in her book? Probably not but I don’t think it was written with malice, either.”

The bad energy on the show is something Manzo thinks that the current cast members need to overcome.
Thanks to negativity and in-fighting, she said, the program has veered off of its original course.
“Let’s lift each other up instead of trying to tear one another down. Lets showcase what women are capable of, what I thought this show was going to be back in the day,” she wrote.
What exactly did she think a reality show based around over-the-top personalities would involve?
“Running successful businesses, supporting amazing causes, raising incredible children and looking fabulous every step of the way,” she posted.
Manzo noted her “strained” relationship with sister Caroline, but seems to think that by adopting a more positive outlook, everyone involved with “RHoNJ” will end up in a better situation.
“I say we change this housewives thing around and show the world what we’re really made of,” she wrote.
