Casey Anthony's Trial Begins Today

POSTED: Sunday, May 8, 2011 UPDATED: 11:32 am EDT May 9, 2011 CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The trial of Casey Anthony, the young mother accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter is begins Monday with jury selection in Pinellas County.Because of intense media interest in the case of the young woman accused of first-degree murder in the death of Caylee Anthony, the location wasn't announced until early Monday.More than 600 media credentials have been requested."The pretrial publicity I've seen in this case is unprecedented in the state of Florida," said Circuit Judge Belvin Perry, who is presiding over the case.At the center of this media maelstrom is the ponytailed, 25-year-old Anthony, who could face the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder.
