For Flag Day, a little star-spangled maintenance

Local businesses' flags face fraying, constant upkeep of their flags. York, PA - Every two weeks, there's something missing from the more than 50-foot-high pole outside Carpet & Tile Mart in Springettsbury Township. That's how often, it seems, the business' stars and stripes sustain shreds and stains, said manager Randy Miller, who frequently calls Eagle Flag & Supply company in Lancaster to repair the $1,000 nylon American flag.
