Seeger, 92, joined in on the protests on Friday night, marching along with a group of about 1,000 people in New York City’s Upper West Side, walking past banks and big department stores. He was joined by his grandson Tao Rodriguez-Seeger, David Amram and Guy Davis.
A recent poll suggested that more than a third of the U.S. is in support of the Wall Street protesters and about 58 percent admit that they are not happy with U.S. politics.

But several New Yorkers are complaining of some of the protesters actions, such as urinating in the streets and playing drums late at night at Zuccotti Park.
During a radio interview on Friday, Mayor Michael Bloomberg admitted that because the protesters have no single leader, it has been difficult to negotiate with the group. A spokesperson for the protesters agreed that the group needed to be better neghbors, promising to lessen the noise every night.
Seeger and his musician friends, including Guthrie, performed “We Shall Overcome,” a protest anthem that Seeger made popular at Columbus Circle.
