Holly Madison, a former Playboy covergirl and Hugh Hefner girlfriend, has insured her breasts for $ 1 million, as was noted in Thursday's Celebritology morning mix.
"I’ve heard about people getting body parts insured and I thought, 'Why not?,' because if anything happened to my boobs, I'd be out for a few months and I'd probably be out a million dollars," Madison told People. "I thought I'd cover my assets."
Lloyd's of London granted the realty star's request.
Although the worth of Madison's breasts may be questionable to some, she's not the first celebrity to take out a huge insurance policy on a body part.
Rihanna's body may not be appreciated by certain Irish farmers, but the razor people at Venus Breeze showed it some love in 2007. The pop star was named the winner of its Legs of a Goddess contest. The prize was a
$ 1 million insurance policy with Lloyd's.
Mariah Carey won the honor on 2006. Her legs were insured for a whopping $ 1 billion.
Indeed, it seems that legs are a very popular choice to insure.
Jamie Lee Curtis, Mary Hart and Heidi Klum all reportedly have had their gams insured. David Beckham's $ 70 million policy on his legs make sense, considering his career.
As does Tom Jones reported $ 7 million worth of coverage for his chest hair. (Kidding?)
