The four players, Jordan Jefferson, Jarvis Landry, Chris Davenport and Josh Johns met with police Tuesday morning to discuss the fight, police said.
The meeting took place, with the players' attorney, Nathan Fisher present, at the Baton Rouge Police Department's Violent Crime Unit.
Following the meeting, Fisher said, "No charges have been promised or given."
"We need to investigate the case," Fisher said."I maintain that my clients should not be charged. We found some evidence that we think is pertinent'
Fisher said the information was turned over to police at the meeting.
Stone has said police asked the four players to come in for interviews after witnesses reported the men were involved in a fight outside of Shady's bar, 623 E. Boyd Drive, at 1:30 a.m. Friday.
A meeting, originally scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, was postponed after Fisher requested more time to review the details of the case before his clients meet with investigators.
Fisher said over the weekend that he was representing the players free of charge, which he frequently does with LSU students. But that changed Monday.
"Our compliance staff talked today," LSU spokesman Herb Vincent said, "and they were not comfortable with that. He's representing them and he's going to have to bill them. The method of payment is still to be determined."
Stone emphasized the four players wanted for interviews have only been implicated in the fight but have not been charged with a criminal offense.
Investigators concluded through their investigation that both simple battery and second-degree battery charges will be filed when the investigation is completed and arrests are possible.
Second-degree battery is a felony offense that carries a maximum five-year prison sentence upon conviction while simple battery is a misdemeanor.
Stone has said the fight started when a man in a truck blew the horn to try to clear a crowd in the bar's parking lot.
The situation escalated to a fight and four men, none of whom are members of the LSU football team, were treated at a hospital for minor injuries, police have said.
Stone said Monday that police obtained video from a business near Shady's bar. But, Stone said, "we are not releasing what's on that video at this time."
Stone said Monday that arrest warrants could be drawn up as early as Tuesday or as late as the end of the week.
Miles has said a "relatively large group" of football players went to Shady's Thursday night after being at their apartments for a 10:30 p.m. curfew. Miles has also issued an apology for the involvement of an unspecified number of Tiger football players in the fight and said that he has begun disciplining his players as a group over this incident.
It's still unclear how many of those players were involved in the fight. Other football players might be called in to talk with police as the investigation continues, Stone said.
